The year’s first Tox Away day was a success on Saturday.
Vanderburgh County resident were able to get rid of hazardous chemicals such as gasoline, anti-freeze and pesticides for free.
The event was sponsored by the Vanderburgh County Solid Waste District.
Officials say they don’t want these chemicals in the landfill since they could make their way into ground water.
It was so successful they’ll do it again in September.
