A bill relating to medical marijuana has passed in Kentucky.
Senate Bill 47 is on the way to Governor Andy Beshear’s desk, who supports the bill.
It can only be used in edible, topical, or vapor forms.
Representative Jason Nemes says, this is not a wink-wink, nod-nod medical program.
He is against recreational use.
Anyone smoking marijuana will be violating the law and could lose their medical card and face jail time.
The law will not take effect until 2025.
Adjustments are expected to be made in the next session.
