The Evansville Parks Department has plans to build pickleball courts in Wesselman’s Park next to the existing tennis courts.
City Council is considering an ordinance giving that body decision authority over what gets built in the park, effectively killing the pickleball plans.
Monday night, the city council, wishing to see a presentation from the Parks Board, tabled the ordinance until next month.
Mayor Winnicke, says if that ordinance lands on his desk he will veto it.
