A Henderson woman was convicted of defrauding the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program.
38 year old Carla Smith pleaded guilty to one count of devising in a scheme to defraud the Medicaid program.
A Union County Judge sentenced Smith to a total of one year behind bars and five years on probation.
She also has to pay back over $6,000.
Smith provided false information to fraudulently obtain payment from March to May of 2019.
