Catalytic Converter And Drugs Found During Traffic Stop

A driver doing nearly 100mph on the Lloyd was caught with drugs and a catalytic converter Monday night.

Deputies first spotted the speeding car near Fuquay and Pollack Avenue.

The driver, Wyatt Derrico, failed field sobriety tests and was detained along with his passenger, Makaila Hess.

Deputies found fentanyl, ecstasy, drug paraphernalia, a catalytic converter, and tools.

Hess faces drug charges.

Derrico faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving.
