Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force were attempting to serve a Felony warrant at a home on E. Missouri Street.
This was around 12:30 yesterday afternoon.
Upon making contact with the suspect, he displayed a firearm and threatened deputies.
After several hours of attempting to get the barricaded suspect to surrender, EPD was asked to assist with the standoff, as well as SWAT.
The standoff ended with an officer involved shooting resulting in the death of the suspect.
This is still an active investigation with more information provide later today.
