The Evansville City Council met last night with pickleball on the minds of some in attendance.
An ordinance was advanced that could stop the pickleball court project at Wesselman Park.
The ordinance would need the approval of city council for construction projects at the park.
Those opposed, spoke to board members with concerns the courts would be noisy and destroy some of the park’s green space.
The city council will vote on the ordinance next Monday.
