It’s salamander season and in order to protect these lizard like creatures, Wesselman Woods will have some road closures.
This is the time of year when they come out of hibernation and look for wetlands.
Since they need to cross the road to get to the other side, Wesselman Park has closed the loop near the nature preserve.
Those times are 4:00 p.m. until 6 a.m. and continues through April 1.
