The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office received twenty zero degree sleeping bags from an Evansville church Wednesday.
Pastor David Whitmore of Catalyst Church says, the idea behind the donation is to give patrol deputies the ability to provide a free sleeping bag to a person without a home or in need.
It would then serve as an emergency bed, providing warmth and comfort.
The sleeping bag will keep someone comfortably warm down to zero degrees.
