An Evansville woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with child neglect resulting in serious injury.
When the boy’s father arrived to pick the child up from 50 year old Dena Hobb’s home, she was hesitant to hand him over.
The child was unresponsive and cold.
When he arrived at the hospital his temperature was 92 degrees, glucose level was 19 and had a BAC of .149.
His diagnosis was acute intoxication and hypothermia.
When Hobbs was told that the child had alcohol in his system, she told police that she had a metal tumbler that had vodka in it on her nightstand.
She was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and has since been released.
