A pedestrian was hit by a car in the parking lot of the Dollar General on East Diamond Avenue near Stringtown Road Thursday morning.
The victim was a man.
EPD Sergeant Anna Gray says the man left his car to walk into the store when he tripped and fell.
At the same time, a car was coming around the corner of the building and did not see the man laying on the ground and hit him.
Per protocol in a deadly accident, the driver agreed to getting a blood test.
The Vanderburgh County coroner was called to the scene.
