The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man on charges of reckless homicide.
Deputy’s responded to the area of Sawmill Drive Thursday night for a medical assist.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that 62 year old Faith Georges had been struck by a vehicle.
The driver, 60 year old Daniel Smith told deputies that he had been in a verbal confrontation with his sister.
He backed out of the driveway not realizing that she was behind his van.
Faith later died at the hospital from her injuries.
