A funeral home serving a small Indiana town for 168 years was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.
The residents of Owensville say the Holder Funeral Home was a landmark for the community’s history.
The owner says thankfully, no bodies were inside during the fire.
The last funeral service was Saturday morning, less than 24 hours before the fire started.
Three different fire departments were on scene for five hours and finally had the fire out by 5:30 am.
No firefighters were hurt, and the owner plans to rebuild.
