Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General on Lincoln Avenue Thursday in reference to a theft.
Loss prevention informed them that employees have been discounting prices on items, then selling the item to themselves.
23 year old Amber Smith is accused of stealing $1,700 worth of items from her employer.
She is in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Officers found that another employee was doing the same thing, and made off with $4,000 worth of items since December.
There have been no arrests in that case yet.
