Assistant Police Chief Decides Not To Run For Mayor

This past Fall, Evansville assistant police chief Phil Smith filed papers to form an exploratory committee for a run for Mayor.

Lloyd Winnecke has said he will not be a candidate for a fourth term.

Smith confirmed on Wednesday that he will not be a candidate for the office either.

County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave, Natalie Rascher and Gabe Whitley have filed paperwork of their intent to run for the office.
