Patient experience at the emergency room is improving due to a new technical tool.
Owensboro Health Regional Hospital just launched this new system called E-R Advisor.
When the patient gives their cell phone number to registration staff, a welcome message is sent to their mobile device.
The E-R Advisor will automatically update patients throughout their visit.
This includes estimated wait times, when they will be moved to a room and updates on the status of lab results.
This eliminates the need to download an app or sign up for a service.
