Easterseals was the recipient chosen for funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.
The Vanderburgh County Commissioners selected the non-profit and presented them with a $300,000 check yesterday.
Their decision was based on decreased revenues, increased costs, and a growing need for services, as a result of the Covid -19 pandemic.
Easterseals made a statement on social media saying the main focus for this funding will go towards mental health.
The American Rescue Plan 0f 2022 provides emergency grants to help hard hit small businesses recover from the pandemic.
