February 13th is the next time Heidi Carter will appear in a Vanderburgh County courtroom.
She is charged with rape and confinement in an incident that happened in October of 2021.
Carter met Timothy Ivy and his girlfriend online and invited them over for sex and drugs.
Carter’s boyfriend, Carey Hammond walked in on them and became irate and killed Ivy.
Carter allegedly held the woman down as she was being raped.
Earlier this month a jury could only reach a decision on a gun charge.
She was sentenced to one year with time already served.
Carter will remain in jail as she awaits her retrial on the other charges.
