Evansville police spotted a wrong way driver on I-69 around 1:40 Christmas morning.
34 year old Junior Altine was driving towards them head on.
They were able to get out of the way and pull him over.
When police approached the vehicle they could see a beer can and a vodka bottle.
Altine could not provide insurance and didn’t have a license.
He also resisted arrest and refused to take a blood alcohol test.
Altine has a previous conviction for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
He was booked into the Vanderburgh County jail and has since been released.
