Two children narrowly escaped being ran over after trying to stop a man from driving drunk.
It happened Christmas Day in the 1000 block of Bayard Park Drive in Evansville.
31 year old Joshua Winnett, his girlfriend and her children were leaving to visit friends in Boonville.
Winnett decided he wanted to drive, but had been drinking, so the girlfriend took the keys.
He grabbed her by the arm, dragged her to the ground and kicked her in the stomach, and ran out to the car.
One of her children was hanging out the passenger side of the car trying to reach for the keys, and was hit in the face by Winnett.
Police say he was pulled over on Wimberg Avenue and arrested on a list of charges.
His bond is set at $10,000.
