The Board of Zoning Appeals played to a packed house last night.
The agenda included a request by Republic Services to deposit additional poultry waste at Laubscher Meadows landfill.
Neighbors have long expressed concern for the smell of the waste, plus its attraction of predatory animals to the area.
But before any neighbors got a chance to speak, Republic’s attorney announced the company was withdrawing the poultry waste amendment.
Some area residents call it a major win.
