A University of Evansville legend will join the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame in March.
On Tuesday, the MVC announced that baseball standout, Andy Benes will be inducted.
Benes was the number one overall pick by the San Diego Padres in the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft.
He played for the Seattle Mariners, the Arizona Diamondbacks and two stints with the St. Louis Cardinals.
He and his wife still live in the show-me-state.
Benes is the first representative of the U of E baseball program to join the Hall of Fame.
