Residents that live near the Laubscher Meadows Landfill in Vanderburgh County are trying to stop Republic Services from dumping more chicken waste on it’s property.
The zoning committee will have to approve the landfill’s request.
The meeting is set for December 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Civic Center.
If approved, the landfill will have double the amount of poultry waste each year coming from Spencer, Pike, Perry and Dubois Counties.
Neighbors say it’s already a smelly beacon for wild animals like coyotes and buzzards.
