An Indiana State Trooper was patrolling Highway 41 near Bellemeade Avenue around 10:30 last night when he observed a driver with expired plates.
The driver was stopped in the left turn Lane at Washington Avenue.
She was identified as 32 year old Stephanie Marshall of Evansville.
The trooper says Marshall showed signs of impairment.
She refused to exit her car and a take sobriety test.
She then sped off running a red light and going over the speed limit.
Marshall eventually stopped on Rotherwood where she was arrested without further incident.
She is being held without bond in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
