The Indiana powerhouse who put the town of Santa Claus on the map will receive the state’s highest honor.
It was announced yesterday by Governor Eric Holcomb that he has named community leader, volunteer and Chief Elf, Pat Koch with the 2022 Sachem Award.
The ceremony will be held Friday December 9 at Heritage Hills High School at 10:30.
The 91 year old is the originating partner of Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari.
The Sachem is given every year to recognize an individual whose lifetime of excellence and moral virtue has brought credit and honor to Indiana.
