Officers spotted a driver speeding and switching lanes without using a turn signal and pulled him over in a parking lot on Highway 41.
The driver, Rodney Kyle II would not get out of his car and decided to put the car in reverse backing into a marked EPD cruiser.
Kyle then got out of the car and ran through traffic before he was caught.
Deputies say they found a gun and a trash bag with several baggies of marijuana totaling more than four pounds.
His bond was set at $20,000.
