The Department of Parks and Recreation started working on their five year Master Plan for the City of Evansville a few months ago.
They have made some updates in that time.
Mayor Winnecke and the city council agreed to add another Park Department maintenance team to next years budget proposal.
The Parks Department leadership team has been assessing and taking inventory of existing land, equipment and other amenities in each park.
They also will focus on low income populations and communities of color.
Their office says their plan is one of action and hope to see a change within the next five to ten years.
