One person was injured after being shot Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of W. Oregon Street.
Neighbors told police they heard five shots, then saw someone limp to a white car, then drive away.
The car was also hit with bullets.
Officers searched the west side neighborhood for hours, but the suspect was never located.
Police believe it was an isolated event between the two people.
The victim went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
