Officials believe the house fire Monday night in the 300 block of Read Street to be suspicious.
Investigators found stacked items in the home that seemed to be put there on purpose.
Two Evansville firefighters were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
This was an abandoned house.
The structure is a total loss.
