A close call for residents overnight at the Martin Park Apartment complex on Vista Drive.
A vehicle crashed into the building just after 2:30.
The property manager says the driver hit a grass bank, went airborne and almost hit a gas meter.
The crash destroyed a woman’s kitchen and washer and dryer.
She says water was running throughout her apartment.
Officials are helping to find her a place to stay.
The driver left the scene of the accident, but police were able to catch up with him a few blocks away.
The woman was not hurt.
