Public Safety officers at the University of Southern Indiana put out a warning to students about snakes in the vicinity.
USI safety officials say baby copperheads are born in September and October.
They advise students to be especially alert for them along trails and in grassy areas.
Copperheads are not an aggressive snake, and will leave you alone if you don’t bother them.
The snake can be recognized by it’s yellow and green tip.
