An Illinois State Trooper was injured Monday night on I-64 in Wayne County.
He was on the side of the road assisting another officer when a pickup truck sideswiped his squad car as he was standing next to it.
The trooper was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
72 year old Elvie Cagle was issued a ticket for improper passing of an emergency vehicle and improper lane usage.
