The coroner has released the name of the child killed Sunday night after the gun he was playing with went off.
6-year-old Malachi Copeland died from a gun shot wound. The child’s school had this to say…”The Joshua Academy school community is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our bright one, Malachi Copeland.
Malachi was a quiet, yet very smart and energetic young man.
He entered Joshua Academy in kindergarten where he consistently demonstrated high academic scores.
He will be truly missed.”
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
No one has been charged.
