The city of Evansville Storm Water Management Department has partnered with Coca-Cola Refreshments to offer free 55 gallon rain barrels to residents.
They can be picked up in the “Back 40” parking lot of the Civic Center Complex tomorrow morning starting at 10:00.
The community benefits from the rain barrels in many ways.
When water is collected into the containers it reduces the amount of water in the storm system.
They also reduce our carbon footprint and slows down streambank erosion.
