Nine people are in custody following what’s been termed an “incident” at the Kentucky State Fair over the weekend.
Three of the arrestees were adults and six were minors.
Charges range from disorderly conduct to menacing to possession of a handgun.
All of those arrested are from Jefferson county.
The incident happened a little before 9:30 Saturday night in the Midway.
Several fairgoers reported hearing what they believed to be gunshots, leading fair officials’ decision to close early for safety’s sake.
It turned out that a group of people caused a panic with noisemaking devices.
