Officers were called to the 1300 block of North Third Avenue in reference to shots being fired.
A witness told officers he saw a man wearing a black shirt fire a handgun out of a white SUV.
While on scene officers saw the SUV suddenly turn as if they were evading law enforcement.
After a short chase, the driver finally stopped her vehicle.
Police say 30 year old Elisha Grisby and her passenger 26 year old Jordan Burris were arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.
Grisby has since been released after posting a $1,000 bond.
