An Evansville man will spend the next 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A Vanderburgh County deputy replied to a call near the Corner pocket Bar in September 2021 about a person showing a gun in the parking lot.
The deputy says he witnessed 33 year old Michael Charles arguing with another man while holding a Kimbro 9mm handgun.
He is prohibited from having a firearm due to several prior felony convictions.
He was charged with a sexual assault in 2016.
