The Evansville Police Department was called to a home on the 1300 block of West Columbia Street on Saturday after a 9-1-1 call of someone hearing a baby cry.
Police knocked on the door and spoke with Cierra Holt, the baby’s mother.
She told them that she had no idea how the 1 year old got out to the porch.
After police spoke with the toddler’s mother and father they were taken into custody and charged with neglect of a dependent.
