The Vanderburgh County of ordinances has issued an open burn emergency ban for all areas of the County.
The ban shall run concurrent with the similar one in the city of Evansville.
No person shall set, start or attempt to set an open fire within the County unless they have written permission.
Anyone caught violating the open burn ban will be fined $500.
