Indiana State Police is currently investigating reports of fraud involving the purchase of puppies using online media platforms.
Citizens report that they believe they are making contact with individuals who have puppies for sale.
Once money is transferred to an account that is provided, an address is given to pick up their new puppy.
Upon arrival to this address the person realizes it’s a scam.
ISP says never give out personal information, always meet the seller and the pet, never wire money, or use gift cards and if the price is too good to be true, it’s likely a scam.
