Centerpoint Energy urges customers to stay safe and consider ways to conserve energy to help manage summer energy bills, especially during excessive heat.
They advise to set thermostats two to three degrees higher, turn off non-essential electric appliances and lights and close blinds and curtains to keep sunlight out.
