The grandson of an 85 year old woman found dead last weekend on East Michigan Street has now been charged with her murder.
Betty Ann Stevens was found in her back yard.
An autopsy showed she died of strangulation and blunt trauma to the head.
40 year old John Stevens, who called 9-1-1, said he didn’t want officers to respond, just the coroner.
He’s accused of fighting with the officers who did arrive when they produced a warrant for his clothes.
