A Spencer County farmer was sucked into a grain bin Thursday afternoon.
Luce Assistant Fire Chief Scott Middleton says the man in his 80’s was trying to remove a plug-in, possibly from a bird’s nest.
Emergency crews cut holes in the bin to rescue the farmer.
The elderly man has worked around bins all of his life.
He was not injured.
This is the second accident involving grain bins in a month.
The first one was in Union County, Kentucky.
