The new Dollar General Store in downtown Providence Kentucky along with an adjacent parking lot have been damaged, reportedly by the collapse of an abandoned mine.
Providence mayor Doug Hammers says there may be other buildings damaged by the collapse as well.
He says the Kentucky Department of Mine and Minerals has a team on the way.
Hammers says it probably happened over the holiday weekend and is just now being discovered.
So far, no one is hurt.
