One of Evansville’s leading financial institutions is making a major change.
Evansville Teacher’s Federal Credit Union was founded in 1936 by local educators.
The institution reached $3 billion in assets in April, with over 265 members in three states.
CEO Bill Schirmer says the company is reaching out to better represent the entire membership.
Therefore, in September, the company will change its name to Liberty Federal Credit Union.
The credit union now has 28 branches in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee and will add yet another one in Jasper next year.
