Abbott Labs, the baby formula facility in Michigan made a statement this week saying, they hope to be up and running in the next two weeks.
They are the biggest U.S. supplier of milk formula, so when they voluntarily closed their facility in February, it caused a nationwide shortage.
Mead Johnson’s parent company Reckitt has taken actions by operating their plants 24/7 to accommodate demand.
Because of this, they have shipped over 30 percent more product.
Reckitt says, as a result of these efforts, we are feeding 200 thousand more babies.
