A toddler was found wandering alone along Garvin Street near Michigan around noon on Wednesday.
A passerby spotted the tot and stopped to get them out of harms way.
The man called police and played ball with the child for at least an hour while authorities knocked on doors to find the child’s parents.
The parents were never located.
The toddler was unable to provide any information to police or concerned neighbors due to his young age.
His only word he spoke was “daddy”.
Officials say the boy was placed with Child Protective Services.
No word on if he has been reunited with family.
