Several people are victims of credit card theft and a former hotel employee has been arrested suspected of the crime.
37 year old Jupheena Padgett is facing eight counts of fraud in the case.
Police say back in December, a supervisor at the Comfort Inn on Highway 41 told them, Padgett was stealing customers’ credit cards numbers and making fraudulent charges.
Those charges totaled close to $3,700.
The investigation started when a customer complained of someone using their card to order Chinese food.
Padgett is being detained at the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $750 bond.
