Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding confirms his office is investigating a report of inconsistencies in campground receipts.
They are waiting on results of an investigation by the State Board of Accounts, this should take a few months.
Attorneys for the Vanderburgh County Commission mentioned in a written statement that Burdette Park Director, Jerry Grannan discovered the problem.
He handed the matter over to the Sheriff’s and prosecutor’s office for an investigation.
The Commission posted a job opening for Campground Manager last month.
