Evansville fire units responded to a house fire in the 400 block of East Franklin a little after 9 last (Thurs) night.
Arriving units found a lot of low-hanging smoke so they couldn’t at first see which house was burning.
As they approached the house they found a man hanging from a second floor window.
The man dropped about 10 feet and was taken to hospital for injuries and smoke inhalation.
The building is a duplex with over-under apartments.
The man in the window was the only one hurt.
